Luke Adelman:Canadiens Lift Cup!

As some of you may know, I play for the Canadiens, I am also the GM, this makes some of my blogs biased. Keep that in mind when I talk about the cup win.

The game itself was a blowout 36-6, 2 subs from Boston played ok for Tampa, Jack had 4 goals and Ben was ok in net.

Mitch had 8 goals which helped lead his team to the cup, Anthony got the cup first, you can see pics of it @hands1carone on instagram, the rest of the pics were on my account, @lukeadelman. Highlights include Jackson falling with the cup, Jake and Wyatt's shirtless raises.

Bruins Rae and Woomer trashed pics on instagram, interesting to see what happens next season

Luke Adelman: Best Defense Candidates

Hey, I'm here with my second award candidate blog so let's jump right in!

Defensive

FAVORITES

Marco

Marco was the first winner of the
award and could capture it this year,
he's found an offensive game and
he is alway shutdown on defense.
Look for him to become a legendary
defensive award winner in coming
years.

Josh

Josh is a great defenseman in this league.
He can always find a way to take the
ball and dump it. His problem is his
cockiness, which could take away
from his game and his chances at
the award.

Steven

Steven has only played one game
in his career. That game was Game
7 of the Sidney Cup Final, Steven's
team lost that game, giving up a
3-0 series lead. Regardless, Steve
played great defensively

DARKHORSES

Gunnar

Many would be surprised that Gunnar-
or the next candidate would be
darkhorses, but they each play forward,
Gunnar excels at defensive play
and also works well offensively.

Rae

As with Gunnar, many would be
shocked if Rae was only a darkhorse,
Rae took home the best overall
award last year. Rae is arguably
the greatest two play player
in the SDHL

Next: Worst Overall

Luke Adelman: MVP Candidates

I'm going to list the darkhorses and favorites for awards next year.

MVP

FAVORITES

Mitch Geinzer

Mitch won MVP last year and has a chance to take
the award in this campaign. He is a cornerstone to
the Canadiens team. Geinzer is also an explosive
goal scorer and will throw in assists when needed.

Tucker

Tucker is going to be entered in the expansion draft
this season, so he could play for a bad team, making
him more valuable to his team. "Darcy" could be the
most valuable player on any team.

Anthony

Anthony is coming off an 18-point game that has put
him as the favorite for MVP this season. If he plays his
cards right next year he could take the award.

DARKHORSES

Ben

Ben is a spectacular goalie and without (likely) Rae, Steve,
Tucker among others, his team could be in trouble. His
goaltending could be superb and propel his team. He
could get consideration for the honors.

Rae

Rae will also be switching teams this season.
He is an exceptional two way player and works
well with just about anyone. Rae has the potential
to be a game changer and should be watched in
the MVP race

I'll be back next time with the defensive award,

Luke Adelman: Tampa Bay vs. Boston (Review)

One Word will describe this game, Wow.

Anthony was a total beast. 18 points was the league leading total, he produced that in one game. 30 points in 3 games, wow.

Wyatt played spectacular for the Bruins, 10 goals and an assist. Rae had assists on three of those goals. He also put 5 goals in for himself.

The biggest disappointment to me was one Mitch Geinzer. He didn't produce, losing his scoring lead to Anthony by only putting four points home.

Mitch however did do great when he went in the crease. He was able to deny Rae so often it looked effortless. When Mitch got out of the net, Roman surprised. Last time we saw him, well, a goalie scored on him, which wasn't the best example. However, he played tremendous today. In the crease for the Bruins, Ben impressed.

The game was amazing, it seemed like Boston was just going to keep getting 2 goal leads. Then, with 2:30 left with Tampa not producing, it seemed to be over. Anthony saved the day for the Lightning. He scored twice with assists from Geinzer and Jake. He then assisted on a goal from Blake. Anthony then stole the show with another goal and assist, while keeping Boston off the board to put Tampa in the final.

Anthony did stir things up in his postgame interview, as a Canadien, he stated that the Lightning simply "sucked". It should add a good storyline for the final. Roman was extremely enthusiastic in his interview, he seems to be prepared for the final, his team will need help from him in net. Rae, however was angry at the referees and said they cost the Bruins their season.

Should be a spectacular final, Canadiens vs. Lightning
